It is much much better to obtain an unique domain name such as yourcompany.com or yourcompany.com.hk than www.isp.com/~yourcompany for hosting your company's homepage, either in presenting your company's aggressive attitute to the technology or your company's profession.

The InterNIC has authority over .com, .org, .net, and .gov domains. They charge US$70 for the first two years, and US$35 for subsequent years.

For an new registration of domain name with .hk, HKDNR will charge you HK$200 per year.
